These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FirstSign (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Trial and subscriptions

New organisations may start on a Trial plan, which grants a limited number of documents for a limited period of time from the date the organisation is created. Once the trial's document allowance or time window is reached, you will need to start a paid subscription to continue creating or sending documents. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled.

3. Organisations and invited members

If you accept an invitation to join an organisation, your use of the Service under that invitation draws on that organisation's plan, credits, and document allowance. An organisation's administrators can manage membership, documents, and settings for that organisation.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to send documents that are unlawful, fraudulent, or that you do not have the right to send, and not to attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

5. Document retention and deletion

Once a document has been fully signed (completed), we retain the signed document and its associated audit trail so it remains available for you to download. Signed documents are not kept indefinitely: we will email you at least 15 days before a signed document is scheduled for deletion, giving you an opportunity to download a copy for your own records before it is removed from the Service. We are not responsible for documents that are not downloaded before their scheduled deletion date. You can also request deletion of documents from your account at any time via the relevant document's settings.

6. Third-party integrations

The Service may integrate with third-party systems (for example, document management systems such as DocuWare) to receive documents for signature and to return completed, signed documents to their original location. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to send documents through any connected integration.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the Service or other users.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify active users. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
